Graphic Design & Branding Questions
How much does it cost to have a logo designed?
Without knowing more details about a logo design project, it’s hard to say! There are a lot of factors that go into designing a logo and those factors change the project cost. If you have a specific project in mind, complete this form and I’ll work on getting an estimate put together. Estimates are always free!
What is the process for having a logo designed?
First, you’ll complete my estimate request form. After this form is submitted, I review the project, ask questions and formulate an estimate for you. As always, you are welcome to come back to me with questions or clarification. This is a collaborative effort!
Once the estimate is accepted, we’ll work through the details and expectations of both parties. I’ll then take some time to research and develop some initial concepts. Upon presentation of the initial concepts, I’ll ask for constructive feedback. What do you love? What do you hate? How can I transform these draft logos into your perfect brand?
The process from initial draft to completion varies from client to client, but one thing stays the same: We will work together very closely to come up with a brand you LOVE, start-to-finish.
When our logo is finalized, do we own the artwork?
Yes! Upon completion and payment, I provide all source files for your projects. And if you ever need a different file type in the future, definitely contact me!
Aside from logos and branding, what other graphic design services does M Rock Creative provide?
Typically, my clients look for help with items like: Business cards, brochures, one-pagers, flyers, ads, posters, invitations, social media graphics, and infographics. But my graphic design services don’t stop there. If you have any creative ideas but don’t know how to execute them, please reach out! If I don’t have answers for you, I’m sure I have somebody who does.
Will you do a free mock-up before being hired?
Unfortunately, free mock-ups aren’t something I do. I want my clients to feel comfortable hiring me based on their experience with me and my previous work. I’m always happy to answer questions about the process, so don’t hesitate to reach out. You can also check out my reviews on Google to hear directly from past clients.
Do you do any printing?
I don’t personally do any printing but I’ve worked closely with a handful of local printers for many years. I have great relationships with Wellington, Fort Collins, and northern Colorado printers and can facilitate the printing process for any project.
Website Design & Development Questions
What kind of websites does M Rock Creative build?
Typically, WordPress is my Content Management System (CMS) of choice. WordPress is the most popular CMS in the world and powers 35% of all websites on the internet. It is reliable, flexible and gives developers complete freedom.
While WordPress is preferred, I understand that different clients have different needs. I’ll work with you on the front-end to find a solution that works best for you.
How much does it cost to build a website?
Like logo design and branding, building a website has many factors that go into creating something you want. That’s why I have this comprehensive estimate request form. This is the first step for any potential client! This information helps me form an educated estimate and understand the basics of the project. And estimates are free!
How long does it take to build a new website?
Timing on a website really depends on a handful of factors. This is something we’ll discuss before the project begins and we’ll set clear timeline expectations for both parties. You know your business best and I’ll rely on you to give me the information I need to create something amazing!
What is the process for having a website developed?
The process for website development and design almost always starts with the client completing this estimate request form. Upon completion of the form, I will research, ask questions and formulate an estimate. This is an open conversation and we’ll have an opportunity to work together and fine-tune exactly what you’re looking for.
Once the estimate is approved, we will work together on payment and timeline details and expectations. I’ll then send instructions for technical items like purchasing a domain and signing up for hosting. I’ll also ask for any assets needed, like logos, photos, brand standards and copy.
When I have all assets I need, I’ll begin the fun part…building the website. I’ll work with you on the initial draft and we’ll fine-tune until you are 100% happy.
Once the site is finalized, I’ll launch and test the website while completing the final checks and housekeeping items.
Why do you ask clients to purchase the domain and sign up for hosting?
Believe it or not, I’ve been on the client side of website development and one of the most challenging things about that was not having ownership of the domain and hosting. I always want my clients to have complete ownership of that information.
Between staff turnovers and transitions, the last thing you and your team should have to worry about is “Crap, our website hosting expired. Who was the person who built our website? We need to get in touch with them to have them fix it!”
While I offer website maintenance plans, I always want my clients to be independent, too.
Does M Rock Creative only build new websites? Or will you work with my current or incomplete website?
I’ll always take a look and see if your current website is something I can work with – I’m happy to help. I’ve worked on many existing websites and currently provide maintenance on several websites I did not build.
Depending on CMS, hosting and update history, I may recommend building a new website, but I’ll always walk through those options and help weight the cost and benefits.
